What is it?
The Team Training service is a season long program designed to take your team to the next level of their development. The program is designed in line with the FFA’s National Curriculum for developing players to hopefully go on and be a part of the next golden generation of Socceroo’s. The program features age specific exercises and components so no matter if your team is U6’s or seniors I have your needs covered. For just 10$ per week per player I provide your team with
- A current National Premier League Skill Acquisition Phase and current C license coach running all training sessions
- Game day document each week (substitute timings, player positions, even some dialogue)
- Training shirt
- Training shorts
- Training socks
Why do I provide such high-quality coaching?
It forms part of what makes me different from volunteer coaches. In my experience especially at younger age groups coaches are more often picked simply because they were the only one to put their hands up. This has many problems. One of which being that this parent or volunteer may not have the technical knowledge to teach kids the correct skills. Similarly, they may have that knowledge but not know how to create an environment where kids learn in a game realistic environment. Meaning they may learn how to pass back and forth between themselves but when they get to the game, they cannot execute it as they are not used to pressure.
Another problem that can occur with volunteer coaches is that they in fact didn’t really volunteer. They may have agreed to run the first few sessions and everyone else assumed they could just do it for the rest of the year. This may lead to a lack of enthusiasm from the coach which may be picked up on by the kids. If you’re not having fun, then they probably won’t be either and this can therefore lead to kids not enjoying football which will eventually lead to them dropping out.
With the team training service, you will have a coach who is motivated committed to creating an enjoyable and engaging environment for individuals to further their development in football.
Why do I provide a Game Day Document?
Due to the commitments with National Premier League teams I are unfortunately unable to attend on game days. In order to mitigate this problem, I have developed my game day document. The document is designed to make game day as smooth as possible and whilst I cannot plan for absolutely everything, I certainly gave it my best shot. The document includes
- Pre-game chat
- In game dialogue
- Half Time chats
- Post-game Chat
- Players Sick or Away
- Fan/Supporter Management
Why do I provide a Training Kit?
The training kit is to be worn at every training session. There are numerous reasons for this.
One. To a child almost everything is a distraction, from bugs, birds, dogs to you guessed it even the clothes they wear. The last thing I want is for kids to be distracted by what outfits they have decided to wear to training. So, an easy solution to this is to give them all the same training kit.
Two. Most people like to belong to a group and its very easy to see and say that you do belong to a group if you all look the same. This is particularly very important during the teenage or “Game-Training Phase”. A sense of togetherness is what makes a team, a team and if individuals believe they are working for each other’s success
Three. It helps the brain develop patterns linking the shirt and uniform to football training. This is not something that will happen overnight but over a period. The brain will automatically start to recognise the training shirt with training and hopefully switch the brain into training mode.
Four. I understand that most clubs do not provide their teams with training gear and equipment. This can lead to kids wearing there gameday kits to training. This can lead to the kit becoming dirty, stained and succumb to overall wear and tear. Furthermore, there is always the ever present fear of either forgetting to wash your child’s kit and it being very smelly or washing it but forgetting what day it is and all your child has to wear is a sopping wet shirt shorts and socks. As a result, if you have a training kit and a gameday kit this problem is very unlikely to happen, so on top of everything else it is also convenient.
Who is it for?
The Team Training service has been designed for teams who:
- Do not have a coach
- Would like a fully qualified professional coach as opposed to a volunteer
How it works
- Get in touch with us as soon as you hear about this and are interested
- Register for your local MWFA club
- Once you have been placed in a team get back in contact with us
- Your club will then allocate you some ground space and time to train
- I shall then work out whether this aligns with the free spaces in my timetable
- Each member of the team must then register and sign up to the team training service
Training Time lengths
U6-U11 = 1 Hour
U12 and up = 1 and a half to 2 hours
Let’s clear some things up
You still 100% play for your local MWFA football club. This is not an academy. I are not trying to take players away from local football I are simply trying to improve the standard of local football. The only way I can do that is by coaching locally. So, fear not I am not trying to take your players away.
If you want to train more than one session a week then you will need to order two subscriptions. This also includes a second full training kit.
